4th March 2004 - Universiti Padjajaran (UNPAD) and CMS Education Group paid a visit to OUM as part of the university’s curriculum. OUM was chosen by UNPAD and CMS Education Group for the university’s company and educational visit which constituted part of the students’ final year examination. The group of 3 Senior Lecturers and 23 final year diploma students majoring in Economics and Management, was led by Mr. Danny Amrul Ichdan, President of CMS Education Group. The visit included a tour to the Centre for Instructional Design and Technology (CIDT) as well as the Tan Sri Dr. Abdullah Sanusi Digital Library.

8th March 2004 - Professor Zainol Abidin, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), one of the leading Private Institution of Higher Learning (IPTS) in Malaysia, paid a courtesy visit to OUM in their efforts to establish good relations with OUM. Prof. Zainol Abidin was accompanied by Dr. Zainuddin bin Hassan, Dean, College of Information Technology, Dr. Ir. Ibrahim Hussein, Dean, College of Engineering and Dr. Shaari Md. Noor, Dean, College of Business. Discussions focussed on issues related to the development and progress of private education in UNITEN and OUM. Matters in many areas such as collaboration were explored by both parties especially in academic programmes.

10th March 2004 - Senior Staff from The Star paid a visit to OUM to see for themselves what OUM had to offer. The group consisted of Dato’ Ng. Poh Tip, Group Editorial / Education Advisor, Mr. Michael Aeria, Deputy Group Chief Editor 1, Ms. Leanne Goh, Senior Editor (Education), Dr. Lee Kam Hing, Director, Asian Center for Media Studies and Mr. Neil Khor, Researcher from the centre. It was a good opportunity for OUM and The Star to share their experiences as the Asian Center of Media Studies is seeking to promote research and advanced studies in media and mediarelated fields and will work closely with universities, research institutions, and media organizations. This is in line with their effort to produce graduates and other professionals who will then have practical skills and academic foundation to respond to the demands of the media industry in an age of globalisation and new technological advances. Possible areas of future collaboration were explored. OUM will follow up with further deliberations with The Star.
