METEOR Group of Companies’ Family Day
To kick off 2005, METEOR Group of Companies and its subsidiaries held a ‘Family Day’ on the 1st January. The event was held to encourage the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie amongst the staff of the various subsidiaries under the METEOR Group. Various activities were organised for both children and adults including water-based games facilitated by staff from Sunway Lagoon.

The event was attended by Encik Repin Ibrahim, Acting Chief Operating Officer of Meteor Group, Associate Prof Ramli Bahroom, Acting General Manager of Corporate Services and Finance and Encik Ibrahim, Project Director of METEOR Sdn Bhd.

Appreciation and Thank You Lunch for OUM Chancellor
An appreciation and thank you lunch was hosted by OUM for YABhg Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood who was proclaimed the Chancellor of Open University Malaysia on 16th December 2004.



12th January 2005
Visit from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman
Staff from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman paid a working visit to OUM on 12th January 2005 to learn from OUM’s experience in organising its first convocation.


13th January 2005
Visit from Universitas Budi Luhur, Indonesia
OUM hosted a visit to the main campus for a delegation from Jakarta, Indonesia. Universitas Budi Luhur (UBL) visited OUM to learn more about its ODL concept and methodologies, strengthen academic relations and to discuss possible collaboration.


28th January 2005
Visit from Golden Gate University, San Fransisco, USA
Prof Henry Pruden from Golden Gate University in San Fransisco, paid a courtesy call to OUM. GGU was founded in 1901 in San Francisco and is California's fifth largest private university offering undergraduate and graduate programmes for working adults.
