President/Vice-Chancellor
A dialogue session between OUM
students and the President/Vice-
Chancellor, organised by the
Centre for Student Affairs was
held at the OUM main campus.

Visit of Delegates from the
Malay and Islamic World
Secretariat
OUM received a working visit from
delegates of the Malay and
Islamic World Secretariat in their
effort to learn about OUM’s ODL
concept and methodologies. The
Malay and Islamic World
Secretariat (SDMDI) was set up in
2000 by YAB Datuk Seri Mohd Ali
Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister,
Malacca.

Training and Familiarisation
for ISO Documentation
Workshop
A two-day training workshop on
the familiarisation for ISO
documentation was organised by
the Unit for Quality Management
under the Centre for Quality
Management and Research &
Innovation. The workshop was
conducted in view of OUM’s
efforts to obtain ISO 9001:2000
certification and to become a
quality learning provider in the
region.

Donations collected from Pulau
Pinang Regional Learning Centre
(PPW), Seberang Perai and
Minden Learning Centres were
presented to YBhg Prof Dato’ Ir
Dr Mohammad Noor Haji Salleh,
Vice-President of Learning Centre
Management and Development,
This would be channelled to the
‘Tabung Tragedi Tsunami’.
