Recently celebrated its fifth year of establishment, the number of students registered with Open University Malaysia bears testimony to its unique Open & Distance Learning (ODL) approach which is in great demand especially among working adults who require flexibility and convenience in pursuing their studies.

The University has a total of 70 academic staff and more than 3,000 tutors with vast teaching experiences from the public and private Universities to conduct face-to-face tutorials for the students and 36 Regional and Local Learning Centres established nationwide where students are able to obtain services wherever they are.

OUM hopes to avail itself to all segments of society in its quest to be the leader in democratising education and pioneer life-long learning both locally and internationally thus contributing to the nation’s aspiration to become a k-society inline with the k-economy.
